Open Positions
Academic Support Coordinator
The Academic Support Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring high‑quality academic support for students in the Homework Help program. This position oversees daily tutoring operations, collaborates with school staff to understand student needs, and maintains a structured, encouraging learning environment. Coordinators supervise tutors and volunteers, support students individually and in small groups, and help track academic progress throughout the year. The program operates only on ISD 196 school days, with no programming on district holidays or the day before a holiday break.
Van Driver
Van Drivers support the Homework Help program by safely transporting elementary and middle‑school students to and from programming at Easter Lutheran Church. Drivers ensure timely pick‑ups from schools, maintain a calm and supportive environment in the van, and uphold all safety and driving standards. This position follows the ISD 196 school calendar. There is no program on district‑scheduled holidays or the day before a holiday break. Optional mid‑shift hours allow drivers to assist with tutoring or program support.
Volunteer Tutor
Volunteer Tutors support students through academic help, enrichment activities, and positive mentorship. Tutors build meaningful relationships with youth while assisting with schoolwork, providing math and reading enrichment, creating daily Schoology plans, and participating in games and activity time. This role models encouragement, consistency, and kindness. Training is provided, and high school students 16 years of age and older are welcome to earn volunteer hours.
